A Quick Update!

Mom has gotten out of her coma. As of yesterday she started to open her eyes on command. and Squeeze your hand . When Ashley (my sis) and I walked into the room, We were told the good news. Yesterday was nothing but good reports. However she is still in critical condition. I was holding her hand. I said "Momma, I am holding your hand. Can you squeeze my hand momma?" She did nothing. then five to ten mins went by. I told her " Momma, I am going out in the waiting room to give Philip an update . (she is still sleeping ) as I was pulling my hand out of her hand she squeezed it. I just started crying. It felt like she wanted me to stay and not go. I haven't been up to the Hospital yet today. I hope to get on the computer tonight an give you more information.

Update...

First off, I want to thank everyone for their prayer's. It mean's a lot to my family and I.

My mom is doing the same. She is still in a coma. She has been in a coma since Thursday! The doctor's say the longer she is unconscious the more damage it is causing. So she NEEDS to wake up. They (doctor's) think she has Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome. I was told that they tried to ween her off the breathing tube. Which didn't go well. They are now talking about putting a trake tube in due to the fact that if you are on the breathing tube for 2 weeks or more can cause problems. Was also told that She has some brain damage. Where and how much is not known right now. This after noon they took her to get a Cat Scan of her head. due to this the children got to see her for the first time while they rolled her out. They were so happy but sad all at once. We should find out the results sometime tomorrow. There is more info to tell. But my brain is full and I am so tired I can't decipher it all. Will update more tomorrow ..I hope.

Urgent Prayer Request!!

A lot of you guys know my mom is in the hospital! Thing's are getting wrose. She still hasn't woken up yet . That would mean four days now that she isn't responsive! She is hooked up to a breathing and feeding tube. Today they hooked up to a machine that are working on her kidneys so they do not fail! They told us today it isn't the virus that is doing this. (they really have no idea what is. ) Lasnt-night I asked them what is causing her not to wake up. They said it is one of two things the virus (which they rulled that out) or swollen of the brain. (they don't know yet) PLEASE pray for her. I honestly don't know what to do. I am crying all the time. I don't want to leave tuesday. but... oh please pray!!!
